"Music to my Ears" Monday

"Breathe Again" by Sara Bareilles is quickly becoming a song obsession for me. I, literally, listen to it a zillion times a day. Okay, not literally. But you get the idea. I play it and play it and play it throughout the course of the day. My poor family is probably tired of hearing about a woman someday breathing again. But hey, that's what they made earphones for. Right?

Now, keep in mind, part of my deep and abiding love for "Breath Again" stems from the fact that it is at the top of my current WIP's playlist. And part of it is because it is a freaking awesome song, and I love Sara's voice! Either way, though, I think it is one that everyone should hear at least once. So on this "Music to My Ears" Monday, I decided to share it with you. I hope you love this song and its beautiful, wonderful singer as much as I do.

Love and kisses,
-Mia

Sex Toy Sunday

Last weekend, all of my favorite toys broke. Yes, all of them and all on the same night. Needless to say, I was not a happy lady. But because of my - shall we say, 'sudden need for special friends,' I decided it was time for a shopping spree. Now, I have several 'adult' stores locally. But you know how it is. The selection is average, and the cost is ridiculous. So I thought I would go online and find some goodies. Well, I made a mistake, a huge one.

I searched Google...

...for the "Coolest Sex Toys."

As you can imagine, this search didn't bring up as many stores to shop in as I would have liked. No, it sent me to places like Women's Health Magazine and Cosmo. While those are fine and do contain valuable information, they were not what I was looking for.

So, I went back to the Google search page and perused some more websites. Of course, I found other things, more interesting things like Cool Material and Cracked. Me, being me, I just had to click on those links. Why, you ask? Because the titles of the links were 18 Hilarious Sex Products and 18 More of the World's Most Disturbing Sex Toys (respectively).

Yep, what I found at these sites was eye-opening and more-than-a-little amusing. We're talking musical condoms, pussy feet, and rubber duckies to love on. We're also talking disposable canned vaginas and humongous 'Cannon Dildos' with radiation symbols on the side. Oh, yes! Let's not forget the specialized blow up dolls like the "Area 51 Love Doll" and "Kochi the Anime Blow-Up Doll." And I would hate to leave out the Hooded Spanks Body Binder, the Auto Suck for those long, lonely road trips, the Hot Seat Inflatable Cushion Vibe in hot pink, and the Dildo Gas Mask for...yeah, not sure who would want this or where they'd use it, but I know someone, somewhere out there has one. Sheesh, humans aren't the only one's with sex toys. Dogs are even getting in on the action (literally) with the "Hot Doll." (I'm dead serious about the last one. If you don't believe me, check out The 25 Most Disturbing Sex Toys.) Keep in mind, these are just a few of my favorite examples.

If you are interested in learning more, you should swing by and check them out at the sites I have listed above or you could probably find some more on your own through Google or the search engine of your choice. Either way you go, I promise you won't be disappointed in what you find. But be prepared to laugh, cringe, and/or gasp. Some 'products' might even send your jaw to the floor in shock. Who know what your reaction will be. But I'm sure it will be highly entertaining for you.

So now, go forth and find a silly, scary, or seriously disturbing sex toy that tickles your fancy and post them below. I'm just dying to see what YOU can find. XOXOXO!

Share-Me Saturday

"Please," she whispers, her heart pounding.
Both men hesitate.
"I need you," she tries again.
Both men groan. Still, they don't move.
She's ready to give up. But before she turns away, they pounce.
And she sighs happily.

She sits between them, her body achy and desperate, her pussy wet and ready.
The diabolical men do nothing. They simply stare at her, their eyes worshipful.
She feels beautiful and powerful and sexy as she says, "What do you want?"
Her lips tip up into a sensual smile when they answer simultaneously, "You."

"I love your hands on me," she murmurs. "Both of yours."
In sync, they move their big, warm hands up her body.
She shivers, wanting more. No, needing it. Craving it. Then she sighs both their names, one after another.
The two men groan in response, and she knows without a doubt she's exactly where she belongs - between them, both of them, the two men she loves.

Just because I'm feeling sappy...

XOXOXO,
-Mia

Foodie Friday

Two weeks ago today, I made a massive change in my life. I started a low carb diet. Since I am going on this journey, I don't want to do it alone. I want to share the ups and downs with you. So in the coming weeks, months, and hopefully years, I will post pictures, recipes, links, and anything else pertaining to my new lifestyle here. I am calling it Foodie Friday. I hope that you will come back weekly and join me as I go through this new and wonderful phase of my life.

Much love and lots of kisses,
-Mia

FOOD PORN!

Spicy grilled chicken with a squeeze of lime on top of a whole wheat (and low carb, I might add) tortilla. The toppings include: Cilantro, Lettuce, Cheese, Black Olives, Salsa, Sour Cream, and Jalapenos. I did add a teaspoon of black beans. I'm a bad girl like that.

Low carb allows me to still have some naughty things like bacon. (Just an FYI. This was the first time I'd ever fried bacon on my own. I thought it turned out quite nicely.)

Sesame and Ginger Chicken with Stir-Fried Ginger Cabbage and Soy-Glazed Sesame Green Beans. (Do we see a pattern? I have a fetish for ginger. LOL. Not that I have tried to do anything with ginger - other than eat it.)

I cannot remember where I found the recipe for the cabbage. :(

This is a poached chicken, which tastes much better than it looks, with grilled zucchini and a cilantro and lime sauce. Talk about delicious. Yum.

Thursday's Truth

On this truth-filled Thursday, I must admit...

Yep, I admitted it.
And yep, I'm damn proud of it.

Warmhearted Wednesday: Superbowl Commercial Edition

When I watched the Super Bowl this past Sunday, there was one thing that stood out to me. Was it the game, you ask. Um, no. Could it be the half-time show, you might be wondering. Sorry, Bruno. You did a good job but, yeah, you didn't wow me. No, the one memorable moment was a commercial. Go figure.

Now, I'm not one for commercials, not even the high-budget, mini-movie commercials played during the Super Bowl. But when I saw this commercial...

...I knew it wouldn't be one I would forget. Like ever.
(Come on. You know it warmed your heart.
And if you're like me, Budweiser might have brought a tear to your eye. )

While I don't drink Budweiser and I'm not likely to run out and purchase their beer, I have to say that they gained a new fan...of their commercials. So here's to Budweiser and a wonderful, warmhearted Wednesday!

Music Monday

Yesterday, I was playing around on iTunes, which I do often by the way, and found Whatever: Hits of the '90s. Me being me, I just had to check out the list of songs. Oh yeah, I'm nosy like that. And boy oh boy, did I hit the music jackpot. Sir-Mix-A-Lot, House of Pain, TLC, Duncan Sheik, Diamond Rio, and John Michael Montgomery all together in one place? It was like a music orgasm. Did I mention the masterminds behind the brilliant (and quite possibly best) compilation ever threw in some Naughty by Nature, Coolio, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, and Jane's Addiction. Oh yeah, they did. And man, I love them for it.

If you can't tell (which you probably can seeing that I'm as transparent as a sheet of glass when it comes to my feelings), I have a thing - okay, an obsession - for '90s music. Maybe it's because I was a product of the '90s or maybe not. I don't know. But either way, I can't help but love the tunes that filled the airwaves back then.

So since it is Music Monday, that means you and I are taking a trip down music memory lane with a few of my favorite hits from Whatever: His of the 90s.

Who could forget Hanson, their long hair, boyish faces, and hippy-happy-highly addictive songs? Certainly not me.

Country line dancing to Neal McCoy's Wink. Need I say more?

Not a clue why I love this song so much. I just do.

The pants alone make U Can't Touch This by MC Hammer a classic.

Dangerous Minds and Gangsta's Paradise go hand-in-hand. Since the movie was so fantastic, the song was, too.

***

As with everything, there were a few songs that I personally would have loved to see on Whatever: Hits of the '90s. Songs like these...

Tubthumping by Chumbawumba

Runaway Train by Soul Asylum

Tootsee Roll by 69 Boyz

And the ever-controversial Waterfalls by TLC

The list goes on...
and on...
and on...

But alas, the blog cannot. I would hate for the server to go BOOM! So until next time, sing it loud and sing it proud.

XOXOXO,
Mia
