#ThrowbackThursday a la 1995

As everyone knows, I dig movies from the 80s and 90s. They're one of my many, many, many, many...guilty pleasures. Well recently, I caught myself quoting a line from Clueless in my WIP (which, yes, I have done before because I love the movie that much). So today, on this Throwback Thursday, I'm reliving my favorite songs, lines, moments, and outfits from one of the most notorious cult movies of the 90s!

One-Liners

"Searching for a boy in high school is as useless as searching for meaning in a Pauly Shore Movie."

"Christian said he'd call the next day. But in boy time, that meant Thursday."

"You know how picky I am about my shoes, and they only go on my feet."

"She's a full-on Monet."

"The PC term is 'hymeneally challenged.'" (Dionne)

"Hagsville." (Christian)

"Shit, I've never had straight friends before!" (Tai)

"He's a disco-dancing, Oscar Wilde reading, Streissand ticket holding friend of Dorothy. Know what I'm saying?" (Murray)

"Do you prefer 'fashion victim' or 'ensembly challenged'?"

"As if. I am only 16, and this is California, not Kentucky."

"I feel like such a heifer. I had two bowls of Special K, 3 pieces of turkey bacon, a handful of popcorn, 5 peanut butter M&M's, and, like, 3 pieces of licorice."

"Whatever."

And in my personal opinion, the best line in the movie...

"Anything happens to my daughter, I got a .45 and a shovel. I doubt anybody would miss you." (Mel)

Josh: Look, I'm just curious. How many hours a day do you spend grooming yourself?
Cher: Some people are not lucky enough to be as naturally adorably as you are.
Josh: Stop, you're making me blush.

Mel: What the Hell is that?
Cher: A dress.
Mel: Says who?
Cher: Calvin Klein.

Cher: Would you call me selfish?
Dionne: No, not to your face.

Dionne: Did you write that?
Cher: Duh, it's like a famous quote.
Dionne: From where?
Cher: Cliff's Notes.

Last, But Not Least...Style

The ultimate fashion item of the 90s...knee socks. You know you had them. I did, too!
