I Will Think About It Tomorrow...

Hey all, this is Mia’s PIA, Tina. I have once again taken over Mia’s Monday Madness. Why do you ask? Well, my lord and master has decided she deserves to go on a ten year anniversary trip. I ask you, why should she get to go on a trip? It’s not like she isn’t married to a Saint.
I have known Mia for two years or so and believe me there are days that I want to drive to her house and smack her around. So I know that the hubby must either have the patience of Job or be a Saint. I am just going to go with the Saint theory.

Want to know what drives me crazy about Mia? My biggest pet peeve that she possesses is her love of procrastination.  The woman makes me crazy with it. She is one of those people that you have to give her firm dates and times to get her to do things. Even then, she waits till the last minute and then she makes herself crazy trying to finish whatever project she is supposed to be working on. There are times that I think a deadline for her is just a suggestion.

For example, I just got off the phone with her. She is supposed to have packed and gotten everything ready for her trip to NYC in the morning. Guess what. She called me to tell me something, and she still hadn’t packed, and it is now 3pm. She spent the day doing who knows what. But packing for her, the hubby, and the munchkin is still not done. She has had all day to do it and really it is just for three days so how much could she possibly have to pack. Instead, she has done laundry and wrote a bit and talked to me on the phone three times.

I can tell you right now she is running around like a chicken with her head cut off because she has to hurry and pack. She hasn’t even taken her shower and she has dinner reservations in just a couple of hours, and they have a bit of a drive to get to the restaurant. Yep, she still has no idea what she is wearing and has no makeup on and her hair is a mess. The hubby will be home in about an hour, and she will still be in the bathroom trying to get ready.  He will be ready and probably watching tv while she finishes. If he was smart, he probably told her that the reservation was for one time so that he could give them a cushion so they would not be late.

Lord love her. Mia is the poster child for procrastination. This was just one example of her ability to find a million things to do so that she doesn’t have to finish up what she is supposed to be working on.  You now know why have banned her from Facebook and Twitter when she is under a deadline? If I let her, she will be on there for hours on end and still have done nothing on her writing, blogs, or whatever.  I love her to death, but it makes me crazy. Do you feel my pain? Do you know a member of procrastinator’s anonymous?

Till I take over again,
Tina aka Mia’s PIA

Ta-Da! It's the Big Blurb Reveal...

Hi y'all! I normally don't do this. But seeing how big today's blog is for me, I thought I would post it here and at When One is Not Enough. Now you might be wondering what in the world I could be doing that would warrant a Double Whammy-esque blog. Well...I'm revealing the blurb for Luscious Beginnings. And why am I doing that? Well...Because I'm celebrating the submission of the edits.

Yep, you know what that means. I ditched out on my celebratory ice cream to share this blurb with you. So I hope you enjoy it as much as I would have enjoyed that Ben & Jerry's ice cream. LOL.

Luscious Beginnings

(Love in Luscious, Kansas Book 1)

Sometimes what a person wants most has been standing in front of them all along.

Four months ago, an eye-opening discovery drove Sam Carrington away from his best friends, Brett Monroe and Ethan Bartlett. Now he’s beginning his new life in Luscious, Kansas. But still, he longs for the men he loves.

Brett and Ethan were shattered when Sam vanished. Every day since his disappearance has been devoted to finding him. However, their search is in vain because two of Sam’s powerful friends made sure he was impossible to find.

After Sam is stabbed while protecting a friend, he shuts everyone around him out. Concerned for his emotional wellbeing, one of his protectors turns to Brett and Ethan for help. Once the men know where Sam is, they’ll do whatever it takes to get him back. Only their journey won’t be easy. And the path they must take will lead them to either a luscious beginning or a heartbreaking end.

There you have it - the blurb for Luscious Beginnings. Now let the countdown to June 17th begin...with ice cream. XOXOXO!

Mia's Monday Kansas

Happy Monday y'all. On today's edition of Mia's Monday Madness, I'm going to share some pictures with you all. First, though, I need to give you a bit of background...

As you know, my three series, Sweet Serenity, The Doms of Kinky, and Love in Lucious, are all set in Kansas. Well, here's a little secret...I've never been to Kansasuntil last week. So, why did I choose to write in Kansas? Yep, I have no clue. It just called to me.

Now before you say it, I've heard a hundred times that there is nothing in Kansas. It's flat and boring. There's nothing there, and I won't like it. But after seeing the state first hand, I don't agree. I absolutely adored Kansas. I know without a doubt in my mind that the stories were meant to be there. And I know they will continue to be there for a long time to come.

I do have to admit that people were right in some ways. Kansas is flat, as flat as a pancake. I was rather amazed by this. But considering I live near the mountains, that isn't surprising. And I could see how it would be boring. I guess. Maybe. Okay, I'm not quite sold on that one. But people did nail it on the head when they said there was nothing there. Big, huge fields separated places, and there weren't hundreds of houses crammed together. To me, that made Kansas all the more special.

So, you might be curious as to where I went while on my Kansas Road Trip. Well, my PA Tina and I went to the area where Luscious would be (if it were a real place). See I mapped out the three towns with the help of Tina and my other friend Luna months ago.

That might be overkill to some. But in Luscious, location is everything. And that is an understatement of epic proportions. The entire foundation for Luscious is based around the Neosho River. Well, that and a woman named Luscious. So I felt that it was important to see where I was writing about. Sure, I could look at pictures online. But that isn't the same as being there, smelling the air, seeing the land, feeling and touching the things around town. Keep in mind, we visited Chanute. And while this is close to where Luscious would be, that doesn't mean Luscious is inspired by Chanute. Don't get me wrong, Chanute was awesome. But Luscious is a bit different...And that's all I'm saying—for now.

Since none of you could go with me, I wanted to share what I found. Of course, I can't bottle the air for you to smell or hand you something to touch. But I can let you see what I saw...through the lens of my camera.

This is the highway we drove down. Hehehe.

This was our exit. Talk about ironic.

I hope you enjoyed my picture tour! Have a magnificent Monday. XOXOXO!
