Sarah wanted to explore the submissive side of her nature, but instead found herself abused and nearly killed by a sadistic Dom. Now she is finally ready to embrace not only her nature but the men she wants and loves. She just needs to work up the nerve to ask them to be her Doms. Adam has been waiting for Sarah to heal enough to ask for what she wants. Now that she is ready, can they convince Deke to move beyond the past and freely give them his heart? Bound by Love’s Gravity by Mia Ashlinn is the first book in The Doms of Kinky, Kansas series, which is lightly connected to the Sweet Serenity series.

Adam and Deke have been partners for seventeen years. They have occasionally added a third but Sarah is and will be different. Deke can’t take the chance that his needs will cause Sarah harm, so he begins distancing himself from not only her but Adam as well. He knows that Sarah and Adam love each other and much as it pains him he will give them the gift of each other. Adam and Sarah know that without Deke they won’t survive, so they fight for their man. Adam must also accept that he has enabled Deke to his detriment. He is determined that this new relationship be on a more equal footing. But is fighting both himself and Deke too much?

Ms. Ashlinn gives us a tale of survival and hope. With Sarah’s history, you would have thought she would never give the lifestyle a chance. But instead she learned what safe, sane, and consensual really meant. Then she fought for the men that she has always wanted. She is determined to move forward and out of the holding pattern her life has become.

Ms. Ashlinn did not limit her focus to just Sarah; even Adam and Deke who have had such a long relationship had new tricks to learn. While Deke’s issues formed the nucleus of much of the story, Adam was not without his inner demons. I thought this was a well written and well-rounded story. The character development was complete and the connection between them felt real. I am looking forward to what else is in store for the residents of Kinky, Kansas.

  1. I loved this book I would give it the highest rating. It is a shame there isnt a rating for quirky one liners cause then this book would have been of the charts. Can't wait for more.
