From Childhood Fairy-tale Dreams to Adult Fairy-tale Fantasies...

If someone had told me when I watched Beauty and the Beast for the first time that I would be nearing thirty-years of age and still turn into a sobbing, sappy mess when it comes to fairy-tales, I would have sighed. Bet you thought I was going to say laugh. But, no, I would have sighed like the hopeless romantic I am.

Now lots of people say they are hopeless romantics for one reason or another, and I say good for them—no matter what their reason. Hell, I give them a standing ovation because I wish the world was filled with more sentimental people. But I say that I’m a romantic because I am sitting here listening to Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson sing Beauty and the Best from the original motion picture soundtrack while I write a blog about adult fairy-tales. Yep, I am a cheese ball like that. And, if we are being completely honest here, that is only one of the many, many, many examples of my corny personality.

I’m one of those romantics—the overly sentimental ones. You know the people...

….get chill bumps when watching Taylor Swift's Love Story music videoonly my sentimental moment has nothing to do with Taylor or her adorable prince. It is that exact moment when she knows he is coming for her, and they are going to live happily ever after. Can you hear my sighs through your computer speakers yet? If not, I am sure you will before the end of this blog post.

and whose...
heart palpitates when I see the above scene from Crazy Stupid Loveand it has nothing to do with my crush on Ryan Gosling (although that is a bonus) or the sex oozing between these two.

Hell, I have been known to...

...swoon whenever I see the above kiss between two of my favorite actors.

And, if you want to get technical, I am also the one who...

….can barely breathe when I watch the above kisseseven though I have seen all of them a million times over.

And, yes, I am serious. I do every, single one of these things—often. But, as usual, I am straying from the topic. What is it with me? I start out on fairy-tales then I am sucked right into the mushy movies and music. It’s probably because...

 I heard this song...

...and watched this trailer.

Then I was a goner. Shew, there I go again…wandering away. Would someone just get me back on track? I’m thinking there are lots of dirty, naughty ways to go about it and lots of erotic toys to do it with.

Wait! I see you over there...don't you dare get that sadistic instrument of torture - oops, I mean toy - out. Nope, nope, nope. I will be good. I promise.

Every day of my life, I get to be the eight-year-old girl I was when I watched Beauty and the Beast and discovered the exquisite beauty of fairy-tale romances. I get to sigh and swoon while dreams of a world filled with princes and princesses float through my mind and then find their way onto paper. But, nowadays, I do it with a naughty twist.

Why would the princess settle for one prince when she could have two...or, in some cases, three? And why would the princes merely bestow a chaste kiss upon the princess's lips when they could cherish her body with every delicious, decadent part of theirs? But it could just be me who fantasizes that way. After all, I am a dirty, dirty girl, and we are talking about my fictional world.

In Mia's Magical World of Menages, the heroines are always princesses. Only they don't have tiaras or glass slippers. And heroes are always princes. They just don't have armor, medals, or swords. And, of course, when they all come together, it's always magical.

Love and cherries,

  1. Being a hopeless romantic is not sappy (I hope) it's just being alive and letting yourself feel that way. Love it!

    1. Thanks, Sky. That is a lovely way to think about being a hopless romantic. :)
